End of Life Law for Clinicians (ELLC) is a training program for medical practitioners, medical students, and other health professionals about the law relating to end of life decision-making. This includes decisions that happen in the last days and months of life, as well as Advance Care Planning. Improving your knowledge of end of life law can help you to better support your patients and their families, and manage legal issues.
After completing this program, you should be able to:
- Describe key end of life legal concepts.
- Understand how to apply the law in clinical practice.
- Identify where to access information about end of life law.

This education is a CPD Activity under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) CPD Program and an Accredited Activity under the the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) Professional Development Program for the 2020-2022 triennium. This education is also approved for 9.5 Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) CPD hours to December 2022.
